The garden starts in January in the greenhouse, and transplanting is done by hand as soon as weather permits. The growing season in Northeast Oregon is shorter than some area’s, so planting time is critical. A focus is put on crops that can withstand storage for year round use. The farm uses water from an artesian well, which provides the purest option available.

Phil has got the bug!! We have onion starts on the table...lots of onion starts. The kids were here the other day and asked how many, I wasn't sure but Phil said about 15,000 onions.
There are also Tomatoes, little tiny tomato plants. We will see what is next...
